LIREG's New Generation Group
|
The Long Island Real Estate Group is grooming a new generation of industry leaders through its Next Generation Group.
The group aims to attract the next generation of real estate and related professionals as members of LIREG and to foster a charitable giving and networking environment. It provides the opportunity for members to interact with their peers through active participation in specific charitable projects and social events, as well as to integrate with leaders in the industry as part of the greater LIREG organization.
The group seeks to attract real estate professionals under the age of 35 from such areas as development, brokerage, legal services, mortgage banking and title work.
Since its formation earlier in 2008, it has held a mixer, its members have provided cleanup assistance to Sunrise Day Camp, a day camp for children with cancer, in Wheatley Heights. And its members have participated in a team in the Marcum & Kliegman Workplace Challenge Road Racehas about 200 members. LIREG has contributed more than $100,000 to such charities as Angela's House, Haven House/Bridges Inc., Sunrise Day Camp, Ronald McDonald House of Long Island, Hospice Care Network and Habitat for Humanity.
